The TL;DR on me is that I’m just tall enough to say that I’m 6’1” without anyone questioning it too much, a DJ in the version of my life where I made better decisions, and I think computers are pretty cool.

The thread that really holds all my experiences together is an interest in tech, my interest for which started sometime between when I stopped shitting myself and the commander of an air force bombing range showing up to my high school because I accidentally dropped a high altitude weather balloon on an explosive ordinance disposal team.
Obviously, I had to be channeled into a productive direction before I provoked another branch of the military to come knocking on my parents’ door. With equal parts desperation and mentorship, I was encouraged to find a research assistant role at my local university, where I was able to meet Dr. Daniel Smalley. Now, Dr. Smalley wasn’t like other professors — in a sea of lab-coated department bios that went something like “Dr. X is an IEEE fellow whose esteemed work includes contributions to…” finish the thought and then tell the Friday the 13th story
Under Dr. Daniel Smalley, I was building facial and tracking software for a holographic render pipeline. The math and physics required to pull off true, glasses-free holographic video was completely mind-blowing, and it completely hooked me on hard tech.
Before heading off to university, I wanted to see a bit of the world and cut my teeth on some real-world dev work. I ended up in Taiwan for a couple of years, running operations and technology for an organization of around 200 expatriates across the island. Alongside learning Mandarin, I built and led a small dev team to ship a custom CRM and reporting software, a few pieces of which got picked up well beyond the island.
At that point, I was 20 and figured I should probably go to college. I ended up at Harvard, studying economics, computer science and trying hard not to lose my ability to speak Mandarin. While I was there, I spent time exploring a deep interest in clean energy, doing market-entry strategy and revenue modeling as an analyst at Vivint Solar and later in the CEO’s office at Clean Energy Associates in Shanghai.
But my focus kept pulling back to the startups I was building on the side. One of those projects, an automated virtual receptionist for local businesses, took off and became a real company called Lovage Labs. We got into Y Combinator’s W22 batch, raised around $2M from YC and an Andreessen Horowitz scout fund, and grew revenue roughly 30% month over month. That experience locked me into the startup ecosystem for good.
From there, I went all-in on supporting other founders. I helped run Prod, a student accelerator for Harvard and MIT, where I became the top referrer to YC’s Summer 2023 batch, including one team that went on to become a decacorn. I also somehow convinced 60 founders to follow me to São Paulo for a three-week innovation trip, which was just as chaotic and fun as it sounds armored car story. Around the same time, I was a course assistant for a Harvard class on startup R&D, helping students turn raw ideas into actual companies.
I still do this mentorship at UT Austin, that on b school in CAI graduated with high honors and a citation in Mandarin, then decided to check out how massive enterprises handle technology, landing at Boston Consulting Group for a little over a year. I became their regional generative AI expert, which basically meant helping a leading AI lab figure out how to sell its tech globally. I also did some retail strategy work that ended up unlocking over $15M in cost savings and another $3.5M in EBITDA, which was a wild change of pace from early-stage building.
The itch to build from scratch brought me back to the Bay Area. Most recently, I was the co-founder and COO of Palladium, where we worked to build a foundational dexterity model for heavy industry. We had a genuinely unique approach to physical AI data collection, navigated a few pivots, and found real traction with industrial clients before deciding to wind things down in early 2026. The three of us left on fantastic terms.
